The other Saigon

District 1 is thrilling — and exhausting. Grand Park, on the city's green eastern edge, is where Saigon exhales: parks instead of traffic, birdsong instead of horns, and everything a daily life needs within a walk.

This is the neighborhood expats choose when they're deciding whether Vietnam could be home.

Live it rather than tour it: morning laps in the lagoon pool, coffee by the park, groceries from the mall you can walk to, an afternoon at the amusement park or the man-made beach. Real life, just gentler.

Getting around is cheap and easy — a Grab to District 1 runs $8–10, there's a free resident shuttle, and a new metro line (under $1) is being built out now, set to roughly halve commutes once it and the freeway are finished.

Then, come home

At the end of the day you return to a residence that was taken back to its shell and rebuilt as a single composition — honed travertine, rift-cut oak, linen, soft coves of light. Nothing here is builder-standard.
